The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) ground crews strive to ensure that sports fields can be safely used by our students, residents in the neighbourhood and community groups.

Not all WRDSB sports fields are rented out through the school board. Some fields are rented and maintained by the applicable City or Township.

Renting Sports Fields through WRDSB

Field rental requests are requested through the same process as indoor rentals. Please see the how-to-book a school section of our website for further instructions.

Hours of Use

Sports fields open mid to late May annually. Fields typically close October 31. All opening and closing dates are dependent on weather and the current field conditions.

Evenings – Permits are permitted to begin at 6:15 pm or 6:30 pm and activities must end at dusk or 9:00 pm, whichever is earlier.

Field use does not include access to the school facility for washrooms or other uses.

Rental Rates

Grounds use fees are a flat fee of $35.00 plus HST per permit. All requests are subject to $39.55 ($35 + HST) non-refundable permit fee.

Respect for Neighbours

Permit groups are reminded to be respectful of our school sites as well as our neighbours’ properties.

Please keep our grounds clean and keep noise levels down.

Chicopee Hills Artificial Turf
