New for 2025, the WRDSB has adopted a new meeting structure including three (3) Standing Committees:

Standing Committee meetings are held at 6:00 p.m. on scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays. Meetings are not scheduled on holidays or Creed Accommodation days.

For more information on each Standing Committee, including scheduled meetings, please select the committee above.

Members of the public are welcome to watch Standing Committee meetings in person or watch the recording.

Attending Standing Committee meetings in person

Standing Committee meetings are held in the Boardroom at the Education Centre, 51 Ardelt Avenue, Kitchener, Ontario. Seating is strictly limited to 30 persons in our public gallery on a first-come, first-served basis.

If attending in person, you will be asked to wait outside of the Education Centre until the public session of the meeting is ready to begin. Education Centre Main Entrance doors will be locked at approximately 6:15 p.m.

Disruptions by the public will not be permitted. Applause, booing or other audible or visual demonstrations of support or opposition may be intimidating for those in attendance. So, the Chair may expel or exclude from any meeting any person(s) who engage in this or any other form of improper conduct. Prohibition on visual demonstrations shall not be construed to prohibit expressions of identity related to characteristics protected under the Ontario Human Rights Code. Courtesy and respect for others must be displayed at all times.

The Chair of the meeting may expel or exclude from any meeting any person(s) who engage in unauthorized audio, video, or photographic recordings at any Standing Committee meetings of the WRDSB. Authorization for audio, video, or photographs will be at the discretion of the Chair.

Please remember that members of the public do not have an opportunity to speak at or during meetings, unless they are scheduled to delegate before the Board. Find out how to register as a delegate. Everyone in attendance is expected to act responsibly with decorum, and adhere to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

NOTICE OF RECORDING

Standing Committee Meetings are recorded and posted on YouTube. Anyone present during these meetings may be seen and heard on the recordings.
