Coming Soon: The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) is finalizing plans to establish a Student and Family Support Office for September 1, 2026.

About the Student and Family Support Office

As partners in education, WRDSB is committed to working with parents, families and caregivers to support student achievement and well-being.

Most questions are best addressed directly through your child’s school; however, we recognize that some matters may require additional support. The Student and Family Support Office will provide parents, families and caregivers with guidance for a clear pathway for follow-up when more help is required.

The Student and Family Support Office is in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s Policy/Program Memorandum No. 170 – School Board Communication with Parents.

Supporting Parent, Family and Caregiver Communications

WRDSB is committed to accountability, transparency and accessible communication with parents, families and caregivers to support their student’s academic achievement and well-being.

We know it is important for parents, families and caregivers to have the information they need to help their child be successful.
