We believe community partnerships are key to supporting students and their families. Especially to help them access the fantastic programming offered in the wider community. Below, you’ll find a selection of community resources to support your child in continuing their literacy journey.

Supporting Literacy Through A Region That Reads Together

Literacy is a human right, as reinforced by the Ontario Human Rights Commission’s (OHRC) Right to Read inquiry report. Across our sectors – from public education and libraries, to municipalities – we have a responsibility and an opportunity to make things better for those we serve.

We will all benefit when we support literacy for students and their families in Waterloo Region. As a region, we have the chance to address this gap through our shared knowledge and expertise. As a region, we can do this together.
