Email interruptions as WRDSB transitions email systems, Aug. 10 to 16

As we approach G-Day on August 21, 2017—the day that Waterloo Region District School Board moves its email platform to Google—we are making changes to email addresses for all staff and students.

All WRDSB email addresses will switch to end with @wrdsb.ca—just like our website. During the switchover period, staff and students may experience interruptions accessing their email accounts and intranet. This process will take place from August 10 to 16—which may delay response time.

Students—If you’re having trouble logging in with your @googleapps.wrdsb.ca and receive a “Couldn’t find your Google account” message, please try logging with @wrdsb.ca. If that doesn’t work, please wait 24 to 48 hours, before trying again.

Provincial funding to provide renewal, program improvements

Our vision to innovate tomorrow by educating today received a boost this month. As part of the 2017-18 Pupil Accommodation Grant – School Renewal Allocation, provided by the Ministry of Education, to address the cost of repairing and renovating schools and infrastructure, Waterloo Region District School Board will receive approximately $9.8 million.
