Description of the Award
The Carol Shantz Bursary Award is awarded each year to a current client or alumnus of KidsAbility who is enrolled in post-secondary school. Established to honour Carol Shantz, a former KidsAbility School Educator and Principal who retired in 2001, the award recognizes an individual who, through effort and perseverance, is seeking to cultivate their potential to its maximum by pursuing post-secondary education.
Requirements
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident/landed immigrant,
convention refugee or a protected person living in Canada. - Have received services, either currently or in the past, from KidsAbility.
- Be accepted to enroll in September of the year the Bursary is awarded for full-time or part-time post-secondary studies in a Canadian college or university, accredited professional or apprenticeship training institution that offers a degree or certificate.
Previous applicants who have not received the Bursary are eligible to re-apply.
