Meet the 2026-27 Student Trustees
Skyler Yoo – North Riding
Skyler is a student at Cameron Heights Collegiate Institute. She values inclusion, student voice and is driven to make a positive impact by representing students in a way that ensures their concerns and ideas are taken seriously.
Outside of academics, Skyler is dedicated to multiple extra-curricular activities, including the Student Activity Council, Athletic Council, Founder/president of the Neuroscience Club, Debate Club, as well as numerous sports, musical and arts activities.
“I decided to run for Student Trustee as I’m truly passionate about creating a fun and inclusive environment for all students,” said Skyler. “I have a strong desire to make a meaningful contribution to our school community.”
In her term as a Student Trustee, Skyler hopes to advocate for meaningful improvements that enhance student well-being, strengthen school spirit, and create more opportunities for students to showcase their talents and ideas. She is eager to listen to diverse perspectives, engage in thoughtful discussions, and ensure that concerns are brought forward with clarity and purpose.

Gloria Anuraj – South Riding
Gloria is a student at Glenview Park Secondary School. She is actively involved in her community. She volunteers with the City of Cambridge and her church, works as a summer camp counsellor, and has hosted cultural events. These experiences have shaped her understanding of the importance of leadership, teamwork, and giving back to the community.
Gloria ran for the Student Trustee position to represent and amplify student voices. She is passionate about creating opportunities for students. She hopes students feel a sense of belonging and have opportunities to succeed in their academic life.
In her upcoming term, Gloria hopes to create meaningful change in student mental health funding and food security.
When asked what perspectives of experiences would help her in the role of Student Trustee, Gloria said that her “experiences stepping out of my comfort zone, taking leadership roles… and having experience leading youth give me a strong perspective as Student Trustee.”
“Working with youth, children, and even adults in different settings such as church and city events has taught me the importance of listening, accepting and supporting others even if their ideas don’t align with yours to achieve a common goal,” said Gloria.
