On Monday, September 28, 2026, the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB), initiated a boundary review process involving: 

  • Abraham Erb Public School
  • Edna Staebler Public School
  • Laurelwood Public School
  • Vista Hills Public School

West Waterloo School Boundary Review

The primary purpose of this boundary review is to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of students, parents, families and caregivers in the years ahead. We are conducting this review to examine options that would allow students to attend the school closest to their homes. Proposed changes would also support more walkable school boundaries.

There will be no changes before June 2027.

Public Information Session – October 20, 2026

The voices of parents, families and caregivers are an important part of the Boundary Review process. To help us hear from you, a drop-in public information session will be held on:

  • When: Tuesday, October 20, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Where: Vista Hills Public School, 314 Sweet Gale St, Waterloo, ON N2V 0B1
