Join us to explore a WRDSB Kindergarten classroom!

Kindergarten is a time filled with curiosity, creativity, and new experiences. As your child begins their learning journey with the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB), we want you to feel confident, informed, and excited for what’s ahead.

This is what a day is like for students in Kindergarten at the WRDSB! Every day, students learn by playing, creating, discovering, and engaging in meaningful experiences that help them grow.

Join us at the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) in September 2026! Parents, families and caregivers can register their children now for Kindergarten.

Who can register for Kindergarten?

  • Children born in 2022 are eligible for Junior Kindergarten
  • Children born in 2021 are eligible for Senior Kindergarten

If your child is already enrolled in Junior Kindergarten, you do not need to register again.

Coming in Spring 2026 – Registration for Before and After School Programs

Registration for 2026-27 WRDSB Before and After School programs will open in Spring 2026.

These programs qualify for the reduced daily rate under the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) Agreement.
