At Lerners, we believe that diversity in the legal services industry is integral to providing effective legal representation.  That is why we are excited to continue our Learn with Lerners Bursary & Mentorship Program as part of our efforts to help address the systemic barriers experienced early on by Black, Indigenous and People of Colour in the legal services industry.

This program is offered to recent graduates of publicly funded secondary schools in Ontario, who are interested in careers in the legal services industry and plan to attend college or university in the 2024-25 academic year.

Qualifications:

Students who graduated high school (or will graduate by end of June 2024) and have been admitted to a first-year program at an Ontario college or university in September 2024, are eligible for the Learn with Lerners Bursary & Mentorship ProgramEligible candidates must:

  • Be a member of Ontario’s racialized community (i.e. Black, Indigenous or a Person of Colour).
  • Be 21 years of age or less at the start of the 2024-25 academic year.
  • Be interested in pursuing a career in the legal services industry (broadly defined).
  • Have been admitted to a first-year program at an Ontario post-secondary college or university and plan to attend on a full-time basis during the 2024-25 academic year.
  • Meet all other eligibility criteria set out in the Terms and Conditions.
  • Agree to our Bursary & Mentorship Privacy Policy.

The recipients of the Learn with Lerners Bursary & Mentorship Program will be announced in early June 2024.
