We know that this has been a frustrating summer for those looking to register for Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) Before and After School care. Delays and disruptions with the OneList system this summer have made it more difficult to find alternative care options. We understand and share your frustration with this process.

Schedule Changes for Before and After School Program

Changes to Before and After School schedules continue to be processed by OneList. As of Wednesday, August 28:

Unfortunately, due to the volume of technical issues and requests, responses from OneList may take between 3-5 days.

Before and After School Program Capacity

In the 2024-25 school year, we have seen a 27% increase in the number of children in our Before and After School programs. For licensing requirements, we must ensure target ratios of children per educator are met. To do so, we have capped the number of students in our programs for this school year.

Going Forward

We remain committed to providing the excellent child care service that families have come to expect from the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB). We are working closely with OneList to ensure that the errors experienced this summer are not repeated.
