Important Information Regarding 2025-2026 Registration

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Registration for 2025-2026 is live.

Please refer to the list on when your school is open for registration. Please do not try to register prior to your registration date.

Important:  When you are registering, please go directly to the school board registration site: https://regionofwaterloo.onehsn.com/wrdsb

Due to high volume, the site may be slower than usual and it may take a few hours for you to receive confirmation.

Thank you!

Don’t forget – registration for the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) Before & After School Program for the 2025-26 school year begins Monday, June 16, 2025.

WRDSB operated Before and After school programs are led by Designated Early Childhood Educators (DECEs) registered with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, who also work in our Kindergarten programs as part of a broader vision for a seamless and integrated care system for children from JK – Grade 6

New for the 2025-26 School Year

Based on valuable feedback from families and lessons learned this past year, we’ve made important updates:

  • Changes to Part-Time Care Options

    • Part-time care options are still available, however, we are making changes based on feedback we received from the community through the extended day survey conducted in 2024.

    • Starting in September 2025, part-time care options will need to follow a set schedule (e.g., Mon/Wed/Fri or Tues/Thurs).

      • This change will improve space availability and help more families access care.

      • With these new fixed part time options, two part time families can access care creating a full time space.

    • All registrations will be effective the week of September 1.

  • Enhanced Registration Platform

    • We’ll continue working with OneList for 2025-26, and we’ve been actively collaborating with them to address challenges and improve performance.

    • These improvements are designed to make the process faster, more reliable, and more transparent.

  • For Families Receiving Child Care Subsidy

    • If you are currently receiving Child Care Subsidy and your reason for care or approved hours of care are less than five days a week, please contact your Subsidy Caseworker to discuss your schedule and care needs for the 2025-2026 school year.

What to Expect on Registration Day

To ensure a smooth registration process for all families, we are implementing a phased registration approach. Access to registration will be based on the first letter of your child’s school, with designated dates between June 16 and June 19.

Please note the registration date below for the school your child will attend for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration will open at 7:00 a.m.:

To ensure a smooth registration process for all families, we are implementing a phased registration approach. Access to registration will be based on the first letter of your child’s school.

Please note that there is no advantage to registering on an earlier day – spaces are managed by school and fairly across all registration days, so you do not need to worry if your program’s registration opens later in the week. This approach will help manage high volumes and ensure the system performs optimally.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

OneList will advise you in advance once registration reopens via email. For families who started the registration process and experienced technical difficulties they have captured your completed registration steps and you will receive notification to log back in and complete the process in priority order in accordance with the Waterloo Region District School Board Wait List Policy.
