For one evening, W.T. Townshend Public School turned itself into an art gallery full of student art and musical talents, and welcomed in family and friends of the school community. The colours, sounds and variety of art pieces filled the school creating a rich atmosphere that had visitors inspired.
One of the great things about this event was that all classes and students participated in the art displays! Each classroom brainstormed ideas to help decide what to create, with student interest and curriculum expectations for art classes kept in mind. The musical performances were contributed by their Kodaly Choir and student volunteers who had an interest in performing their favorite instrument. Everyone sounded so amazing!
A big thank you to the Arts Night committee who organized the event, and to all the staff members who contributed art pieces, as well to those who helped set up and take down all of the displays.
The dynamic art filled the gym and library while the sounds of singing and musical instruments carried parents and children through the halls of the school. It was fantastic night of celebrating all the hard work and passion W. T. Townshend PS students and staff have for the arts!
