Congratulations to Aya Juani and Vanessa Lewis at Glenview Park Secondary School (GPSS)! They are both heading to the next stage of the Royal Canadian Legion art and literacy competition. The competition, held every year, promotes Remembrance among Canadians.
Aya and Vanessa submitted two pieces each to the contest. Their posters have been judged at the local Legion Branch, and will now move on to the provincial level. Provincial winners will then submitted to Ottawa to be judged at the national level. We are proud to say that Aya and Vanessa have won the local competition! Aya won first and third place, while Vanessa won second place, as well as an honourable mention for a photo she submitted.
The Art Department, the staff at GPSS and your fellow Panthers, and including all of us at the WRDSB, couldn’t be more proud of your accomplishments! Good luck in the provincial competition!
