Beginning Friday night, Courtland Avenue PS will entertain through art, music and acting. Displays of historical memorabilia will be showcased in classrooms as well. Saturday afternoon, visit old classrooms, meet previous teachers or catch up with old and new friends over a coffee in their café.

On Saturday, May 9 at 1:30 p.m., the City of Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic, WRDSB Vice-Chair of the Board and Courtland Avenue PS alumni John Hendry, and Courtland Avenue PS Principal Dudley Brown will give an address and presentation, followed by the opening of the 1990 time capsule.

Their goals for the event are to: celebrate the staff, students and community members who have graced the hallways of Courtland Avenue PS, create a historical archive for the school, and to raise money for a new gymnasium floor. If you would like to make a donation, you may do so by visiting www.wrdsb.ca/wefi.

The entire school community, including alumni and former staff, are invited to come out and celebrate! If you are planning on attending the event, please fill out their online survey.
