On January 29th, Hespeler Public School celebrated Quebec culture by holding their high anticipated, all day Carnaval de Hespeler!

The entire school got involved and had a fabulous day full of fun, food, games and collaboration. Their goal was to bring Canadian French culture to the Immersion and Core students by letting them experience a little of bit of the world’s largest winter carnival, which occurs in Québec City every year. The school incorporated various games and activities found at the Carnaval de Québec, such as human foosball, sled races, a crêpe station and authentic Carnaval music. The day would not have been complete without a visit from Bonhomme Carnaval himself!

The staff and students had an absolute blast laughing, playing and learning a little bit about French culture that isn’t too far from home. A big thank you to all of the wonderful Hespeler PS French teachers for working so hard to make this such a successful winter carnival!
