Staff and students of Crestview Public School have started 2015 with a bang!

The school has introduced a new initiative by shifting student learning from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset. Inspired by this YouTube video posted by Sesame Street called “Janelle Monae – Power of Yet,” students of Crestview PS are choosing to look upon “I can’t” and “I am not good at” statements as the beginning of a learning journey rather than the end. “I can’t do it yet” and “I am not good at that yet” is their new mantra. They are realizing that a change in mindset about our own abilities leads to success. They get the power of yet!
