Lawrence Jabateh, a Grade 2 Rockway Public School student, received the Nutrition for Learning Volunteer of the Month award for November to acknowledge his ongoing commitment and assistance in stocking snack bins three days a week.

Last year, as the school’s main Snack Bin volunteer, Lawrence worked hard with Rockway’s teacher coordinator to prepare snack bins for all of the classrooms before school started. He continues to assist with their Snack Bin Program and has been arriving at school early for the last year and a half.

Out of more than 2,000 Nutrition for Learning volunteers, Lawrence is the youngest one of only two students to receive the Volunteer of the Month award. The school is very proud of Lawrence and sincerely appreciate his dedication and willingness to provide assistance and make an important difference in their school!
