Ayr Public School held their monthly celebration assembly and had Ryan Laird perform.

The country music artist is on a national school tour called Bigger Than That to promote anti-bullying and youth empowerment, a big part of his message is to talk to an adult you trust about any concerns you have. His mission: to provide music driven concerts which inspire youth to dream big and never allow negative influences to stand in the way of success and happiness in life!

At Ayr PS, classroom teachers all hold class meetings where they talk about problem solving, conflict resolution and address concerns in each of their classrooms. They also talk about the difference between bullying and a conflict.

The week of November 17-21 staff and students are encouraged to wear pink, with all staff and students asked to wear pink on Friday November 21.

Parents can help by encouraging their children to communicate clearly with detail, and by teaching and modeling for their children how to compliment others.
