Summer is almost here! It’s been a busy and productive school year, and summer can be an opportunity to recharge and rest with those who matter most. It can also be a tricky time of year without the routines we are used to, and it can be stressful as we prepare to return to school in September.

With this in mind, we’d like to share resources to support students, parents, families and caregivers in having a healthy and joyful summer break.

Mental Health and Well-being Resources

By Your Side from School Mental Health Ontario

By Your Side is designed to help parents, families and caregivers support the mental health and well-being of their children. The Mental Health at Home page contains plenty of resources to help you support:

  • Your children to manage stress, and navigate conflict
  • Balancing the use of technology
  • Positive mental health through fun, at-home activities

Community Resources

Parents, families and caregivers looking for local resources to support their child or families’ well-being over the summer are encouraged to check out the Community Resources page on our website. There are many organizations available to support families in a variety of ways over the summer months.
