In September 2026, the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) will open a new elementary school at 605 Wesley Boulevard, located in the Southeast area of Cambridge.

Choosing the Top Three Suggested Names

In December, we asked you to help suggest possible names for our new Southeast Cambridge elementary school. The Naming Committee has spent a considerable amount of time narrowing down a list of over 120 community submissions and has now created a list of their top ten possible names.

We need your input to help the committee pick the top three suggested names.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, January 16, 2026 at 3 p.m.

What Happens Next?

Your input will provide the Naming Committee with further input towards choosing the top three names. This list of three chosen will be presented to the Board of Trustees, with one being the recommended choice. Trustees can choose to accept this recommendation or choose another one of the names in the top three.
