Region of Waterloo Public Health has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Howard Robertson Public School.

Public Health’s investigation has determined another case, a student, is in the same cohort as a case reported earlier this week. The identity of the individuals are protected by privacy legislation and will not be shared.

Three additional staff members have been identified and directed to self-isolate.

It is important to note that the outbreak is related to this specific cohort only. It is not a school-wide outbreak. Facilities Services will continue to thoroughly clean the building, paying attention to common areas and touchpoints in accordance with Public Health guidance and recommendations.

Public Health works with the school to identify high-risk student and staff contacts of the positive cases to prevent further spread of COVID-19 in students, staff and the community.
