UPDATE: 10:27 a.m.

Water has been restored to schools affected by the water outage this morning. Thank you to everyone who worked quickly to determine the cause and fix the issue. We appreciate the patience our families had while we worked through this.

Just a reminder: If families have chosen to keep their child home today due to the water outage this morning, we kindly ask that you call your school’s attendance line to report their absence. It is your choice to keep your child home, but we want to make sure all of our students are accounted for.

The City of Kitchener has identified a water main break on King Street in between Madison and Cameron has been hit during road construction. City staff has let our facilities department know they should have everything fixed soon. All schools are open. We thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work with many school board and city staff to resolve this issue.
