The Waterloo Region District School Board is pleased to announce the 2017 Legacy Scholarship recipients. This year, a total value of $50,000 will be awarded to 10 WRDSB students.

  • $5,000 Alder Construction Legacy Scholarship — Nathaniel Wilson Huron, Heights Secondary School
  • $5,000 Bulldog Rebar Legacy Scholarship — Tristan Hopkins, Galt Collegiate Institute
  • $5,000 CBRE Legacy Scholarship — Dawson McGregor, Glenview Park Secondary School
  • $5,000 Innocente Legacy Scholarship — Carly Borutskie, Elmira District Secondary School
  • $5,000 John Heffner Sr. Automotive Legacy Scholarship — Jakob Kieswetter, Huron Heights Secondary School
  • $5,000 Legacy Scholarship — Ikran Musse, Forest Heights Secondary School
  • $5,000 Legacy Scholarship — Lillian Davison, Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate and Vocational School
  • $5,000 Legacy Scholarship — Jessica Nguyen, Huron Heights Secondary School
  • $5,000 MGC Legacy Scholarship Hyo Jin Son, Sir John A. Macdonald Secondary School
  • $5,000 St. Jerome’s University Legacy Scholarship — Miranda Schultz, Waterloo-Oxford District Secondary School

The Legacy Scholarship program is executed by is a group of dedicated community leaders with a mission to support  future leadership in Waterloo Region.  Legacy Scholarship recipients enrich the lives of others by demonstrating elite leadership skills in the community. Students will be recognized for their accomplishments at their commencement ceremonies starting in June.
