Southwood SS celebrates Ontario’s 150th with an evening of art, history on May 25

At the Mill Race Park Amphitheatre, beginning at 7:30 p.m., performances will feature Cam Earnshaw, former Southwood student and Berklee College of Music graduate, and Gary Kirkham, filmmaker, video designer and playwright.
Southwood students will showcase a variety of pieces that demonstrate the range of work they develop throughout the school year, including:
- Teeth: A collaborative piece with the developmental education class at Southwood Secondary School.
- She Used To Be Me: A piece representing the struggles of self-esteem and body image that so many young women and men face today.
- The Sound of Silence: A piece examining the invisibility and stigma attached to those struggling with mental health in our society.
