We are pleased to announce that the Waterloo Region District School Board and ETFO Waterloo Region have ratified their local agreement. The agreement will expire August 31, 2017.

“We appreciate and support the ratification of a local agreement with ETFO Waterloo Region. It has been a long process for everyone,” says WRDSB Chairperson Kathleen Woodcock. “We look forward to working together to continue to provide a safe and positive learning environment for our elementary students.”

ETFO Waterloo Region President Greg Weiler states, “After a lengthy but productive bargaining process, the deal will now comprise the second part of a two-part collective agreement, with both local and central agreements being combined into one document. The ETFO Waterloo teacher local looks forward to continuing to work together as we focus on the great work our members do in supporting student achievement in the classroom.”

ETFO Waterloo Region represents 2500 elementary teachers in the WRDSB.
