It truly wouldn’t be fall without a little pumpkin fun!
The students in 34 classes at Williamsburg Public School put their artistic, creative minds together and decorated pumpkins, thanks to Sobeys – Fischer Hallman!
As part of a classroom challenge activity, students and staff brainstormed concepts and researched ideas that would most likely grab the attention of the Sobeys customer. Once the pumpkins were complete, staff from the Sobeys store picked up all 34 pumpkins and displayed them at the Fischer-Hallman location for their customers to judge.
With more than 2,500 customer votes, the winners of the Pumpkin Decorating Contest were Room 14, the Sherlock Holmes pumpkin! In a close second was Room 4, the Red M&M pumpkin, and rounding out the top three, third place went to Room 27 for their Sparkly Creature pumpkin.
Congratulations to all of the Williamsburg PS classes who participated – your hard work and creativity did not go unnoticed!
Lastly, but certainly not least, a special thank you to Sobeys – Fischer Hallman for donating the pumpkins and hosting the contest, what an awesome community partnership.
