For the last few weeks, the staff and students at Elizabeth Ziegler Public School enjoyed the Blue Jays playoff excitement, and cheered very hard.
The excitement reached the classroom, and translated into learning. The Jays season was a great springboard to talk about the concept of Mindset. In the book “Mindset,” Carol Dweck explains that we need to approach our goals with a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset; dedication, hard work, effort, positive attitude and teamwork are some of the themes that have been highlighted during these post-season games.
