On Friday, October 30, Minister of Education Liz Sandals stopped in Waterloo Region to make a $40 million funding announcement. The announcement, which included funds for both the Waterloo Region District School Board, and the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, is part of an $11 billion investment from the province over 10 years, to help improve the learning conditions for students.

We are pleased to announce that we received Ministry funding for the following projects:

  • A new 663 pupil place elementary school for Kindergarten to Grade 8 in West Kitchener. This also includes five new licensed child care rooms, creating 88 new child care spaces.
  • A 92 pupil place addition to Sir Adam Beck PS

“Creating engaging learning environments for our students is vital to their success,” says Director of Education John Bryant. “We would like to thank the Ministry of Education for their continued support, and funding for our capital priorities.”
