Leading up to Valentine’s Day, Lincoln Heights Public School students, parents, and staff joined together to purchase Valentine Candy Grams. Each gram sold raised money for Free the Children’s We Create Change campaign, which helps break the cycle of poverty overseas. The Huskies raised $400, which will provide families overseas with eight goats. One goat, costing $50, can flourish into a herd and provide an entire family with nutritious milk and a sustainable income. That herd also enables women to start turning their homes into thriving businesses. With training and education, the family can earn enough to send their children to school, plan for emergencies and build a better future for their family.

The Lincoln Heights Huskies should be proud of all of their efforts and contributions!
