The grade 5 and 6 students at Elizabeth Ziegler Public School have been participating in a program called, “Cycling into the Future”. The program teaches rules and safety, repair and maintenance, rodeo riding (biking on the schoolyard in special challenges), and road riding. The program coordinator, police, bike instructors, bike mechanics and classroom teachers work together to deliver this program at our school.

“Cycling into the Future” addresses curriculum expectations in Health and Physical Education and Science and Technology, builds community, and also teaches character development as students learn how to be good citizens on the road.
