Helping others and having fun while doing it captures the spirit at Howard Robertson Public School. A very sunny day was the perfect setting for students to run and walk around the school yard to raise money for cancer research in honour of Terry Fox.

For two weeks their school community challenged themselves to fill Terry’s shoes with incentives such as: principal Mrs. Lotimer would kiss a pig on the lips, vice-principal Mrs. Baer would dye her hair green, Mr. V would get a pie in the face, and the addition of individual class challenges/rewards.

The students accepted the challenge of raising $600, and surpassed that with a total of $724.82 for cancer research. Congratulations!
