Every year, communities across Canada participate in the Terry Fox Run to support cancer research. This year, one of the teachers at Mary Johnston Public School is currently fighting breast cancer, and in an effort to support one of their own, the principal issued a challenge to the students and community. If the school raised $3000 in donations, members of the staff would either shave their heads or dye their hair pink.
Well, the students and community took up the challenge. Not only did they meet the challenge, but they exceeded the goal and raised over $4000! They have truly made a difference.
