The Broader Public Sector Executive Compensation Act (BPSECA) and Ontario Regulation 304/16 – Executive Compensation Framework requires Ontario broader public sector designated employers to develop an Executive Compensation Program to ensure a responsible, transparent, and consistent approach to setting executive salaries. This includes Waterloo Region District School Board.
For us to innovate tomorrow by educating today, we need to be able to attract and retain quality leadership so we have developed, in consultation with the Government of Ontario, a new Executive Compensation Program to meet the requirements of provincial regulations.
The opportunity to provide feedback on this framework ended at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. We will review your feedback and share a summary with the Ministry of Education. Our board of trustees will consider approving this framework when they have final approval from the government.
