Kindergarten Registration
Parents of children born in 2005 and 2006 are invited to register their child(ren) for classes beginning in September 2010. If your child is currently attending junior kindergarten in the Waterloo Region District School Board, it is not necessary to register your child again.
The Elementary Student Registration Form must be completed and brought with the following documentation to register students in kindergarten:
- Immunization Records if the student is a new registrant with the Waterloo Region District School Board
- Proof of Age e.g. birth certificate, baptismal certificate, passport
- Documentation of Canadian Citizenship Status if the student was born outside of Canada
- Proof of Address e.g. a copy of residence property tax bill or a utility bill containing parent/guardian name and address of residence or a copy of offer to purchase a residence or a copy of lease/rental agreement for a residence
Please contact your school ahead of time to arrange a specific time for registration, and to receive an information package. If you are not sure which school your child will attend, check the School Finder or call 519-650-4934 ext. 221.
Newcomer students who have recently arrived in Ontario from countries where the usual means of communication is a language other than English, are asked to visit the Welcome Centre prior to registering for secondary school. The Welcome Centre is located at 749 King Street West, Unito 203, Kitchener, Ontario.
