A “drinking water fixture” refers to every drinking water fountain and every tap that is used to provide drinking water or to prepare food and/or drink for children under 18. Drinking water fixtures are:
- drinking fountains, hydration stations, drinking water bubblers, bottle filling stations
- faucets in kitchen/kitchenette (not classroom sinks),
- faucets in the child care room(s), kindergarten room(s), special education room(s) and family studies room(s) without drinking fountains or bubblers.
Please note that as recommended by the MECP, fixtures are represented by letters and numbers.
