Water testing results showed that five water fixtures were impacted:

Fixture Number: JDP-15; drinking fountain (outside)
Test date: August 1, 2019
Standing result: 56.0 ug/L
Flushed result: 14.9 ug/L

Fixture Number: JDP-16; drinking fountain (outside)
Test date: August 2, 2019
Standing result: 21.7 ug/L
Flushed result: 3.9 ug/L

Fixture Number: JDP-21; drinking fountain (corridor, FR#813)
Test date: August 1, 2019
Standing result: 86.0 ug/L
Flushed result: 14.0 ug/L

Fixture Number: JDP-16; bottle filler (corridor, FR#813)
Test date: August 2, 2019
Standing result: 153.0 ug/L
Flushed result: 254.0 ug/L

Corrective actions:

  • Replaced piping at the water meter
  • Replaced water meter and backflow preventer
  • Installed a filter on the water main
  • Flushed the main hydrant in front of the school
  • Continue to flush the lines in the school
  • Replace the pipe for the bottle filler and drinking fountain
