As a result of flooding, W.T. Townshend Public School and Child Care Centre will be closed today, Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
Facility Services staff are working as quickly as possible to address the situation. While they complete this work, the school and Child Care Centre will be closed. Staff will continue to evaluate the situation and will provide updates as they become available, with the goal of opening the school and Child Care Centre safely and as quickly as possible.
Student learning will continue through asynchronous learning resources from their virtual learning environment, where applicable. Students may also work on previously-assigned work or spend time reviewing material previously covered. Students are invited to participate as they are able.
