The Waterloo Region District School Board shares our condolences and deepest sympathies with the Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia community following the devastating tragedy that took place late yesterday.

We hold the families who have lost loved ones and the many who were injured in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.

This event will impact students, staff, parents, families and caregivers across Waterloo Region and as a school board we will continue to use a trauma-informed and responsive approach to create compassionate school communities that support WRDSB students, staff, families and caregivers.
