Sheppard Public School will remain closed for the rest of the week:

  • Wednesday, January 31
  • Thursday, February 1
  • Friday, February 2

Before and After School programs run by the WRDSB and the YWCA KW at the school will also be closed.

Sheppard PS Remains Closed for the Rest of the Week

Facility Services and staff from Kitchener Utilities continue their work to address the situation. While they complete this work, the school building will be closed to students and staff. Staff continue to evaluate the situation and will provide updates as they become available with the goal of opening the school safely and as quickly as possible.

Student learning will continue. Their learning will be supported through asynchronous learning resources from their virtual learning environment, where applicable, and/or WRDSB@Home. Students may also work on previously-assigned work or spend time reviewing material previously covered. Students are invited to participate as they are able.
