The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) has implemented a two Associate Director model.

As of November 21, Dr. Graham Shantz assumes the Associate Director position with responsibilities for the service side of the organization. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Graham Shantz as he moves into this new role. Graham has served the organization for 25 years in a variety of roles including teacher, principal, Executive Officer, Superintendent and Coordinating Superintendent.

In his new role Graham will continue to have oversight for the responsibilities he held along with more broad responsibilities for the service side of the organization, including Financial Services, Facilities Services, Planning, Human Resources and Equity Services, and Information Technology Services. This will support us to become better aligned as a system with the goal of meeting the needs of the students we serve.

During this transition and to ensure seamless functioning of the WRDSB, Nick Landry has been appointed to the role of Interim Treasurer.

This new structure will better align how we work to achieve our new strategic directions.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Shantz to this new role, and we know he will continue to make an outstanding contribution to the WRDSB.
