October 6th, 2022
October is 2SLGBTQIA+ History Month. It’s an opportunity for all of us to learn more, and celebrate the historical and contemporary achievements of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
About 2SLGBTQIA+ History Month
First celebrated in 1994, what was then known as LGBT History Month is a month-long observance focusing on:
- 2SLGBTQIA+ history
- The history of 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and related civil movements
This month is an opportunity for us all to learn more about 2SLGBTQIA+ role models, both contemporary and historical. It helps to build community, and to showcase the contributions of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to the civil rights movement.
