John Bryant, WRDSB Director of Education, is pleased to announce that Graham Shantz has been appointed to the position of Coordinating Superintendent, Human Resource & Equity Services, effective July 1, 2021. Dr. Shantz has been Superintendent, Student Achievement & Well-Being since 2015. Prior to that he was the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resource Services from 2011-2015. He also brings to the position his experience as Executive Officer, Office of the Director from 2007-2010 and as a school administrator in both the elementary and secondary panels. He received his doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Southern Queensland in 2016.

This key role supports the strategic plan and promotes a shared understanding of equity, anti-racism and anti-oppression making them foundational across the system in all Human Resources & Equity Services work and be committed to an organizational culture rooted in human rights and equity.

We are excited to welcome Graham to this new role where we are sure he will make an outstanding contribution to the WRDSB.
