At the 2018 Inagurual Board Meeting, held December 3, trustees elected Jayne Herring as Chair of the Board and Joanne Weston as Vice-Chair.

Trustee Herring is starting her first term as trustee, representing Cambridge and North Dumfries and Trustee Weston also begins her first term, serving Kitchener.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to my colleagues for their support in providing me with this leadership opportunity,” says Chair Herring. ” It is with great excitement and renewed optimism that I look forward to all of us working together to serve our students, staff and communities as advocates for quality public education.”

I am humbled to accept the position of vice-chair,” says Vice-Chair Weston. “I look forward to being a part of this team and working with staff, families, students and the community to improve student achievement and well-being.”

“With the guidance and support of our trustees, we will continue to build upon the success of our Strategic Plan, Equity and Indigenous Action Plan and our Conditions for Learning,” says John Bryant, director of education. “Trustees play an essential role in student achievement and well-being, and I look forward to working with Chair Herring and Vice-Chair Weston as we continue the important work we will do together over the next four years.”
