Update – At approximately 12:40 p.m, the hold and secure was lifted at Queen Elizabeth Public School. All students and staff are safe and the school day will continue as normal. 

At around 11:15 a.m., a hold and secure was issued at Queen Elizabeth Public School. Waterloo Regional Police Services have been called and are on their way to investigate. Throughout a hold and secure, school life continues as normal inside the school, but outer doors are locked and no one enters or leaves the building.
