We believe that our students, staff, parents and caregivers and community members have the right to experience a learning environment that is safe, caring and inclusive. To support this belief statement, we released Administrative Procedure 1235 – Accommodation of Persons Identifying as TransgenderAP1235 Accommo of Persons Who Identify as Transgender this spring.

This procedure is our commitment to the values of freedom of gender identity and gender expression, freedom from discriminatory behaviours based on gender identity and gender expression, as well as respect for diversity in our school and work environments. Gender is part of a person’s identity, and we will respect and honour the whole person by making accommodations.
