Every year at Floradale Public School, their parent council prepares a scrumptious Thanksgiving dinner for the schools’ students and staff, bus drivers, support staff and community members. This special meal is the council’s way of thanking everyone for their hard work and dedication throughout the school year.

The gym was filled with smells of turkey, stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes and homemade bread, but it was the sounds of student laughter that made lunch time special. However, no one could forget the delicious, handmade cupcakes that were passed around after the main course was complete.

To top off the annual gathering, Floradale’s custodian Michael Ryan sang ‘It’s A Wonderful World,’ dedicating it to the entire school family.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the parent council for volunteering their time – the meal was amazing! We’re thankful we could be a part of the fellowship experience!
