Mrs. Nicolescu’s Grade 6 students from Avenue Road Public School had the privilege of showcasing their artwork in an exhibit called, “Exhibition of Paintings” at the Dorothy Harvey Gallery in the City of Cambridge’s City Hall. As part of their art class project, Laurie Wonfor-Nolan, a Cambridge artist, donated her time to teach the class an art style called, “Chagall.”

The City of Cambridge was also kind enough to donate a canvas for each student and paint for the class to use. At the end of the evening, Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig presented each student with a certificate of appreciation for participating in the art show.

It was a great evening of celebrating student learning and enjoying fine art.
