As part of our enhanced health and safety measures for the return to school in September 2021, the Ministry of Education has put in place an immunization disclosure policy for all publicly funded school board employees and licensed child care settings and other individuals regularly visiting these settings, for the 2021-2022 school year.

All school board employees are required to participate in the disclosure process. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated will be required to participate in a regular testing program.

In the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB), staff are expected to submit a formal attestation, of:

  • Proof of vaccination receipt, or
  • Proof of medical documentation for not being vaccinated.
