jeewan chanicka, director of education, wanted to take a moment to speak about the rise in hateful and violent incidents targeting members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in Waterloo Region. In this moment, we must come together to support our friends, our families and all those around us. We all play a role in upholding the human rights of everyone in our community.

“We all benefit when everyone’s human rights are upheld. We all benefit when people are able to live and show up in dignity and be their full selves. I’m asking everyone to please show up for, and with, one another,” said Director chanicka.
